SUMMARY
Under general supervision, oversees the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and materials; manages inventory and maintains warehouse operations for the organization.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receives, inspects, and processes incoming shipments of materials and supplies; verifies accuracy and condition of items against shipping documents.
- Selects, stages, and prepares materials for distribution according to site or departmental orders, ensuring accuracy, proper labeling, and documentation.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered material handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory safely.
- Stores materials in designated warehouse, cold storage, or distribution areas using proper inventory rotation and storage procedures.
- Maintains accurate inventory records; performs regular inventory counts and reconciles discrepancies using basic inventory control systems.
- Selects products and materials according to request orders.
- Organizes and stages products efficiently to support workflow and timely distribution; ensures materials are prepared for transport and correctly routed.
- May be required to visit sites on an infrequent and as needed basis.
- Prepares warehouse and distribution areas for daily operations; maintains cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Follows all safety protocols and organizational procedures; proactively identifies and addresses safety hazards and maintains equipment in safe operating condition.
- Works independently and within team settings to complete tasks; prioritizes work based on operational needs and deadlines.
- Provides courteous, professional service when interacting with staff, clients, and stakeholders; fosters a cooperative and respectful workplace environment.
- Maintains confidentiality of organizational records and work-related information at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support warehouse or logistics operations.
- May be required to work outside regular business hours or extended shifts to meet operational demands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND three (3) years of warehouse or shipping and receiving experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
Knowledge of:
- Principles and procedures of shipping, receiving, distribution, and material handling.
- Standard warehouse operations, storage systems, and inventory management practices.
- FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation methods for accurate stock usage and inventory control.
- Record-keeping practices and systems used in warehouse documentation and inventory tracking.
- Workplace safety rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Sanitation and cleanliness protocols applicable to warehouse environments.
Common occupational hazards and appropriate safety precautions in material handling and storage.
- Proper use, operation, and basic maintenance of warehouse tools, equipment, and powered material handling machinery.
Skill in:
- Safely operating and maintaining forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Managing daily warehouse activities efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Performing basic mathematical computations for shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
- Following written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and work orders accurately.
- Organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple tasks or assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Building and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and other internal/external stakeholders.
- Recognizing, avoiding, and responding to safety risks; consistently contributing to a safe and orderly work environment.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota State Driver’s License and Fork Lift Operator License are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed indoors and outdoors at MPS facilities; requires constant physical efforts; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed including use of safety equipment; a job in this category may require walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
