Current Location

  • South Campus, 2015 East Lake Street or North Campus, 800 W Broadway

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership within each team

    • Strategy 1.1: Answer questions that teachers have about finding resources and materials 

    • Strategy 1.2: Explain, train and provide new teachers with curriculum

    • Strategy 1.3: Communicate and collaborate with teachers through monthly team or individual meetings 

    • Strategy 1.4: Attend evening/daytime staff meetings to be available to teachers as needed

    • Strategy 1.5: Provide guidance with any curricular issues related to the courses assigned 

  2. Curriculum and materials

    • Strategy 2.1: Provide updated course descriptions and benchmarks

    • Strategy 2.2: Create syllabi with pacing guidelines for both day/evening sites

    • Strategy 2.3: Maintain and update teacher guides

    • Strategy 2.4: Maintain reference rooms organization at both campuses.

    • Strategy 2.5: Complete book inventories (twice a year) and supply classrooms with materials

    • Strategy 2.6: Guide the selection of new materials and supervise pilot

    • Strategy 2.7: Write project proposals for new curriculum such as hiring someone to create ELL Math and Reading curriculum

    • Strategy 2.8: Order books, supplemental materials, additional textbooks, etc. 

    • Strategy 2.9: Order packets from the copy center as needed

    • Strategy 2.10: Update Listening and Speaking curriculum videos

    • Strategy 2.11: Maintain, organize and regularly update Schoology shared resources

  3. Collaboration with other leadership teams

    • Strategy 3.1: Consult with admin regarding what classes are offered (e.g. combined classes as needed) 

    • Strategy 3.2: Attend professional development events and serve on committees in order to stay current with trends and best practices in the field (MPS, MDE, etc).

    • Strategy 3.3: Collaborate on the 5 year narrative

    • Strategy 3.4: Collaborate on the district’s literacy plan to explain curriculum to both internal and external stakeholders

    • Strategy 3.5: Attend monthly meeting with the administration team and/or quarterly meetings with coaches/TOSAs

    • In the past, CTLs collaborated meetings twice a month with an appointed member of the admin team (Paul) on developing a yearly focus for the curriculum teams. This included aligning benchmarks to CCRS, developing assessments in Schoology and assessment plans. 

    • Collaborated with coaches on PD focus



 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years AE experience; 

  • Curriculum development experience preferred; 

  • Completion of ACES/TIF and CCRS training.  

  • Willing to teach in team’s course area 

  • Must hold a current teaching license (Tier 2-4) within the state of Minnesota
