COORDINATOR, EMPLOYEE WELLNESS PROGRAMS

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develops, coordinates, manages, and maintains total wellbeing programming to reduce health risk, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles.
  • Organizes and facilitates on-site seminars, quarterly challenges, events and other outreach opportunities covering a wide variety of health topics.
  • Promotes all wellness programs to employee partners through active, ongoing communications.
  • Monitors and analyzes customer specific health analytic data and develop targeted data driven strategic plans and programs; Analyzes and reports on wellness program developments, trends, and opportunities for change.
  • Coordinates vendor and partner health management and worksite wellness services for employees.
  • Implements and delivers of Health Surveys, Health Screenings, Health Fairs, Web-based Health Management Tools and onsite Health Promotion Programs and Activities.
  • Coordinates the District’s employee wellness committees and committee meetings.
  • Serves as point of contact for employee program participants; includes facilitating internal / external communications such as reports and presentations.
  • Researches and resolves employee issues, and communicates information on status and changes; researches individual records to resolve issues and correct errors. 
  • Performs administrative functions for the wellness programs; processes transactional information; performs experienced technical records management duties; performs data entry and record updates for employee tracking, records maintenance and database management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a Health related field

AND

2 years of experience in Employee Wellness or Healthcare OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.

 

Knowledge of:
  • Current health promotion / health behavior theories, practices, health risk and cost relationships, evaluation methods, policies and trends
  • Planning, implementing and coordinating health promotion strategies.
  • State and Federal regulations, and accounting requirements for employee wellness programs.
  • Principles and practices of public sector personnel administration and effective customer service.
  • Principles of confidential records and file management.

 

Skill in:

  • Specialized software applications, including Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Interpreting and applying state and Federal rules, ordinances, codes and regulations.
  • Researching, analyzing, and evaluating employee wellness issues, programs, policies and procedures.
  • Answering questions, advising staff, and resolving problems regarding wellness programs, plan design, coverage, and claims issues.
  • Prioritizing multiple tasks, and delegating tasks and authority.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports.
  • Providing effective customer service.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software.
  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

 

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A valid Minnesota State Driver’s License may be required.
